Psalms, 117

1. O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

2. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD [endureth] for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter of the Bible and is a call to all nations and peoples to praise the Lord. The verses below were selected for addressing similar themes of worship and praise to God.

Psalm 22:27: "All ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will be prostrated before Him." This verse talks about how all nations and peoples will worship the Lord.

Psalm 66:4: "All the earth worships you and sings praises to you, sings praises to your name." This verse also refers to the universal praise to the Lord.

Psalm 86:9: "All the nations you have done will come and worship before you, Lord, and glorify your name." This verse shows that God is worshiped not only by Jews, but also by all nations.

Psalm 96:1: "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the inhabitants of the earth!" This verse encourages all people to sing new songs of praise to God.

Psalm 117:2: "For great is his love for us, and the faithfulness of the Lord lasts forever. Hallelujah!" This verse reinforces why all peoples and nations must praise the Lord - because he is loving and faithful.
